Old Hippy Return Center - Furniture

We want you to love your Old Hippy products. But if you’re having second thoughts, we make returns as simple as possible.

If you’re looking to return or exchange on your furniture order for whatever reason, we're here to help! We offer free returns or exchanges within 30 days of receiving your order on standard catalog items from purchases made online only. You can return your product for a store credit, a different product, or a refund to the original payment method.

Please note the following exceptions to our return, exchange, and store credit policy:

  • All Sale items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged
  • All Clearance items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged
  • Returned items must be returned in original packaging
  • Returned items must have no visible signs of wear or use
  • To initiate a return, exchange, or store credit, please complete the following steps:

    1. Email returns@oldhippy.ca with your order ID and products you wish to return, exchange, or receive store credit from your order. *may take 24 hours to respond to your email
    2. A member of our customer service department will contact you and may request further information
    3. Once authorized by our customer service department, please send back your items

    *Note: Old Hippy is not responsible for the shipping costs to send back your furniture

    Additional Information:

    • How long does it take to receive your refund, replacement product, or store credit?
      • Refunds are issued within two business days after the returning product has been received. Refunds are applied to the credit card used for the original purchase. Refunds can take up to 14 business days to be reflected on your financial records.
      • Exchange: Once we have the product you are wanting to exchange at our Head Office, you will receive an email of how long it will take to ship you a new product. 
      • Store Credit: Once we have the product you are wanting to receive store credit at our Head Office, you will receive your store credit information within 24 hours.
    • Why can’t I initiate a return until 30 days after delivery? 
      • We want our customers to give their furniture time to settle in their home. Start creating memories with your family around your new furniture. If you are still unhappy after 30 days, please contact our customer service department.

    We are happy to say that we have been in business since 1990 and within those 30 years we have seen a 1% return rate with our products! The reason for this is because of the time we take to inspect and ensure that your Old Hippy products are exactly what you want!

    If you’re looking to return or exchange on your furniture order for whatever reason, we're here to help! We offer free returns or exchanges within 30 days of receiving your order on standard catalog items from purchases made online only. You can return your product for a store credit, a different product, or a refund to the original payment method.

    Please note the following exceptions to our return, exchange, and store credit policy:

  • SleepyHippy Mattresses have a 120 night risk free trial from the day of delivery. We do our best to donate all returned mattresses to charities in need. 
  • Returns are not available for pillows, mattress protectors, foundations, or adjustable beds once their packaging has been opened.
  • To initiate a return, exchange, or store credit, please complete the following steps:

    1. Email returns@oldhippy.ca with your order ID and products you wish to return, exchange, or receive store credit from your order. *may take 24 hours to respond to your email
    2. Print your prepaid shipping label that you will receive by email
    3. Send all items back to us using the label provided

      • Store Credit: Once we have the product you are wanting to receive store credit at our Head Office, you will receive your store credit information within 24 hours.
    • Any shipping fees the customer will need to pay
      • If the return is within the 30 - 120 days after delivery then the return will be free.
      • If you want to exchange something after 120 days and has been confirmed this can happen from a member of the Old Hippy Team, you will have to pay shipping. 
      • If you have any damaged and defective products and you have emailed us at returns@oldhippy.ca, you will not have to pay for shipping.
    • Any return restocking fees the customer will need to pay
      • There will be no re-stocking fees for your SleepyHippy in the event of a return within the trial period.
      • If you aren’t satisfied with the comfort of your SleepyHippy and would like to return it (after the 30 days and before the 121th day), we will be happy to arrange the pickup of your mattress. 
      • Once the pick-up is confirmed, we will refund you the full amount using the initial form of payment within the next couple weeks.
    • How you handle lost or damaged returns
      • Any damaged items that have been delivered to you, will need to be notified to us within 24 hours once delivered with photographic proof that the boxes have been damaged, by emailing us at returns@oldhippy.ca
      • Any defective items that have been delivered to you, will need to be notified to us within 7 days once delivered by emailing us at returns@oldhippy.ca.  This will result in an exchange for a new product once the old product has been shipped to us. *some products will not have to be shipped back
      • We track all of our shipments so we can prevent any lost products!
    • Why can’t I return the mattress until 30 days after delivery? 
      • It is common for some sleepers to take extra time to adjust to their new mattress. Because of this, we require that customers take at least 30 days* to try their mattress before initiating a return.
